Although the doors of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston remain closed, the Museum has continued to make the materials for Writing the Future: Basquiat and the Hip-Hop Generation available to the public. Curated by Liz Munsell and Greg Tate, the exhibition contextualizes Basquiat’s work in relation to hip-hop. The show's playlist jumps from jazz, to punk, to rap and more, inspired by Basquiat's dense canvases and the music coming out of New York’s post-graffiti era. Take a listen!
