In 2018, Austin-based artist Tammie Rubin participated in one of Cage Match Project's 'rounds.' The program invites artists to create, exhibit, and perform in an environment exposed to the elements, and under 24-hour public viewership. Jeanne Claire van Ryzin of Sightlines spoke with Tammie Rubin about her experiences creating artwork within the confines of the outside studio space. She also learned how the Rubin's work with the Cage Match Project built upon the ceramics of her previous series Always & Forever (ever ever).
