The brainchild of artist María Magdalena Campos-Pons, Engine for Art, Democracy and Justice" (EADJ) serves as a collaborative series of virtual conversations and artistic partnerships focused on healing during a time of significant social unrest. Tackling topics such as "Redefining Monuments" and "Paths of Emerging Solidarities," the “Engine for Art, Democracy and Justice" demonstrates how the arts can act as an vehicle for social change. The series launched on September 23rd with an insightful conversation about the history and future of monuments including Carrie Mae Weems and Hank Willis Thomas, and runs through November 18th.
