Listen to women artists from across the Black Diaspora discuss the ways in which personal experience impacts their creative practice.
The African Diaspora Art Museum of Atlanta (ADAMA) has been hosting weekly Instagram live discussions featuring artists, directors, curators, and other outstanding arts professionals.
In May, ADAMA hosted a conversation with artists Andrea Chung, Ebony G. Patterson, Shanequa Gay, and Shani Jamila. In a conversation moderated by Makeba Dixon Hill, the artists discussed the representation of Black women in contemporary art and how their artwork embodies the diversity of Black women's lived experiences. You can stream the conversation on ADAMA's Youtube channel or through their website.
