Often the only Black people on the boards of major museums, a group of trustees are pooling their efforts to help institutions identify talent and better reflect the communities they serve. With the hope of facilitating meaningful change, Black Trustee Alliance for Art Museums was created. Robin Pogrebin, for The New York Times, looks at how this group of Black trustees have been organizing to diversify the art world's hallowed institutions.

“Boards of directors are all working very hard to define priorities for their institutions, but nobody’s ever done this on the scale it is happening now. This group will do a lot for museums across this country in helping to define a road map.” - Pamela J. Joyner
