Frequently Black artists are only asked to contribute their work, perspective, and knowledge during Black History Month. In an attempt to alleviate this gap, Christopher Blay for Glasstire has compiled a list of 101 Black artists currently living and working in Texas. Hopefully, this list will continue to grow and serve as a resource for those who want to make a committed effort to showcase and support Black artists year-round.
“This is by no means a comprehensive list, but it is a start, and you would be hard-pressed to find another list of Black Texas artists this expansive. Believe me: we checked.” - Christopher Blay
